Zvonimir Viduka, (1959) took a degree at the Faculty for Electrical Engineering in Zagreb, at the Industrial Electronics Department. He realised his first expert working experience in the company R. Končar – Electric Locomotives Factory (1984 – 1994), where he was engaged on the tasks of the head of the sector for inspection and testing of electric locomotives and electric railcars. In 1991 Mr. Viduka became the head of the sector for special purpose production programme in the same factory, and initiated different alternative programmes aimed at import substitution.

In 1994 Mr. Viduka established the company ALTPRO taking the role of the Managing Director. During 12 years of operation the company researched and developed over 600 products form the business areas of electronic equipment and devices designed for railway infrastructure and railway vehicles. Many of the equipment and the products are in a successful operation on four continents.

Mr. Viduka has been granted significant awards for successful entrepreneur and innovative results by social and economic community:

• Order of Danica Hrvatska with the figure of Blaž Lorković bestowed by the President of the Republic of Croatia in 2001
• ZLATNA KUNA (pine marten) 2003 bestowed by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce for the best innovator in Croatia
• ZLATNA KUNA (pine marten) 2005 bestowed by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.

For innovative and engineering activities Mr. Viduka was granted various awards worldwide:

• Golden medals at the Fairs in PITTSBURGH in 2003 and 2005, LONDON in 2003, MOSCOW in 2004, BELGRADE in 2004, Bucharest in 2006, Nierenberg in 2006, Bruxelles in 2006, and at the Fair INOVA in 2006.
• Medallions of the Fair INOVA in 1986, 1989, 1997 and 2005 as well as Golden ARC in 2005.
• Award "Dr. Milan Arko" bestowed by the Government of the Republic of Croatia for the most inventive entrepreneur in 2006.
• IFIA diploma in 2006.

Mr. Viduka is an active member of different expert associations such as KOREMA, KONČAR IDEA, HDO, HIZ, Innovators, as well as a member of the Commercial Council of the Commercial Chamber of Commerce Zagreb, Managing Board of the Railway Industry Association at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Managing Board of HK Zagreb.

• Participant and a lecturer at expert gatherings and conferences organised for the area of railway signalling and interlocking systems such as KOREMA (Croatia), ŽELKON (Serbia), Signal & Draht, UNIFE…
• Since 2002 Mr. Viduka has been also listed in the world "Who is Who" Railways Directory.

As a socially responsible person Mr. Viduka has been taking part and supporting different humanitarian, sports and other activities.

Mr. Viduka is married, father of four children and active in sports and recreational activities. His hobby is history.
